It’s very common to develop sore nipples when breastfeeding has just begun. I had this with all five of my babies! Cracked nipples are also common, as are fissures. Hang in there! Most often you can nurse through these sore nipples and get to a place where you are comfortable – and not in pain! – when you nurse! Remember that a good latch is key.
