For breastfeeding new moms, hydration is key. You need to drink, drink, drink and constantly replenish all the liquid and nutrients that your baby is taking out of your system. You’ll probably become aware of this naturally by being really thirsty as soon as you begin to breastfeed your baby.

If you are a milk drinker, keep it up. Milk is a great source of necessary calcium and protein… some women don’t like milk, or can’t tolerate it, and they should concentrate on water and other healthy drinks.
