As a longtime Manhattan resident, I know many of you who will be affected by this recall.
Bugaboo is recalling 50,000 of their Cameleon and Donkey model strollers for fall and choking hazards. A button on the stroller’s handle can become detached, causing the handle to disengage, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Bugaboo has received 58 reports of carry handles detaching from the seats, but no injuries have been reported. The CPSC is advising consumers to remove the carry handle immediately and to contact Bugaboo for a free replacement handle.
The strollers were sold at Buy Buy Baby, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Toys R Us, and other stores nationwide for $1,200 and $1,600. To see a full list of the models and serial numbers included in the recall, click here.
