PJ’s and Clothes Recalled: Violate Flammability Standards

Hi Moms! The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued THREE recalls today on kids’ PJs, lounge wear and boxers. All of the recalls were issued for violations of or failing to meet the federal flammability standards. The biggest one was a recall of about 210,000 boys’ and girls’ pull-on lounge pants and girls’ boxers from Rigo International. The items don’t meet the federal standards and therefore pose a burn risk to kids, according to the CPSC. Rigo has received one report of a garment catching fire and causing severe burns to a 9-year-old boy. The items were sold exclusively at Academy Sports and Outdoor in Texas. If you own any of these items, the CPSC recommends returning them immediately to Academy for a refund, exchange or credit.
