300,000 Discovery Kids Lamps Recalled

Hi moms, well, this recall before the holiday weekend almost slipped our notice here at CloudMom, but we wanted to spread the word. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall alert for 300,000 Discovery Kids animated marine & safari lamps due to fire and burn hazards. The internal wires in the lamps can short circuit and pose a fire hazard. Innovage, the manufacturer, has received 11 reports of the lamps short-circuiting, including three incidents that led to a fire.

The lamps were sold nationwide at Bed Bath & Beyond, Bonton, JCPenney, Kohl’s, OfficeMax, Toys R Us and online at Amazon, Ideeli, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Macy’s and Overstock.com.
