Peg Perego Strollers Recalled; One Death Reported

Hi all,

A huge stroller recall to tell you about today. More than 220,000 Peg Perego strollers have been recalled due to a risk of entrapment and strangulation. One death has been reported to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. A six-month-old baby died of strangulation when his head became trapped between the stroller seat and the tray. Only strollers that have the one-cup-holder tray are subject to this recall. Strollers with a bumper bar or two cup holders are not being recalled.

The recall affects both the Venezia and Pliko-3 models produced between January 2004 and September 2007. For the exact model numbers and more pictures, click here.

The strollers were sold nationwide at retailers including Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby. The CPSC recommends that consumers stop using the product immediately and to contact Peg Perego for a free repair kit.
